Inspiring. For some reason, I have always pulled for the European side..

The Americans have (sadly) made it easy at various junctures to root for the other side.

I can think of lots of reasons for pulling for the Euros; pay for play, ridiculous pricing at Bethpage, players talking their way onto the team, too much of the WAGs, batboy Joe LaCava

This one continues to make my head spin. Imagine telling any of us two years ago that the Americans could be the ones facing hostility at Bethpage? And yet, here we are!

Not the whole crowd but would not be surprised to see the Americans get heckled for mistakes given the pay.

Same here, Gordon! For me, since the Americans felt the need to call the 1991 RC the "War on the Shore."

We need to plan another trip to the Home of Golf so we can discuss this...

I’ve always identified with Luke Donald as an artist and an exceptional golfer. I was surprised when he accepted the responsibility of the Euros’ Captaincy. What is that anyway? Well he educated me about what captaincy means and how that responsibility is so important and he propelled his team to glorious success along with his supportive wife which makes my heart glad. There is no substitute for talent, hard work, humility and respect!
