Steve Stricker earned plaudits for having a clear picks vision: younger, longer and less dramatic was the theme and compared to past captaincies, it’s refreshing to detect an actual vision. Given the home course setup advantage and data from recent majors to back up the Whistling Straits intangibles, he seems to have made the right calls.
