We’ve been going about this distance debate all wrong.

Instead of insisting that leaps in distance are fueled by high tech launch monitors, featherweight fitted shafts and softer Pinnacles, this year’s U.S. Amateur at Oakmont made one thing clear. We need to stop stating the obvious.
