Final preview info for your last minute cramming pleasure. Plus, first thoughts on the course setup, NBC's plans, the forecast, odds, and some spectating tips.
We made it! The 123rd United States Open at Los Angeles Country Club has arrived.
Given my role in the North Course restoration and job as chief George Thomas defender, The Quad will be a little different this week. I have a desire to watch as much golf (outdoors) as possible, meaning I’ll leave the normal role of aggregating, aggravating and analyzing of the social mediaverse to others. But I’m confident I’ll be able to deliver some not-too-drab insights from what should be a special week on a stage that will allow a wide array of players to shine. Especially since the forecast is brightening up (a tad) and trending toward weak high pressure potentially sending the marine layer home by midday during the tournament rounds.

This is subject to change or see additions. Notably and wisely, Rory McIlroy is not currently listed. Wise move by the 2011 champion.
